How to Make Simple Five Minute Frosting

How to Make Simple Five Minute Frosting

So you need a fast way of making frosting? Well, it needs to be simple. It needs to have a small amount of ingredients and it shouldn't taste cheap. Sounds pretty unreal, right? No! In fact, you can have all that and more. Just follow these steps! This an amazingly easy recipe packed with a whole load of taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar (you can add more if desired)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp to 1/4 cup milk/half & half (you may need to adjust the consistency)
  • 1 to 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps

  1. Beat the softened butter in a medium-sized mixing bowl with an electric mixer or wooden spoon until smooth and fluffy. Don't use melted butter.

  2. Add the powdered sugar a small amount at a time. The mixture will appear dry and crumbly.

  3. Gradually stir in the half-and-half or milk until you have reached your desired consistency. If the frosting is too runny, add more powdered sugar. If it is too stiff, add additional milk.

  4. Mix in vanilla and pinch of salt. Taste and add more if desired.

  5. Finished.
